About G & S

Gene and Shelia have operated their store in Woodstock since 2003. Gene has been and avid hunter and sports enthusiast all his life. He is an NRA certified handgun instructor, attended the GLOCK armorer course, attended the one week PSE Archery School, and is Parker Bows certified. His wife Shelia handles not only customers but the back end of the business (accounting, ATF paperwork, pay, etc.). She is especially helpful though when ladies come into the shop looking for a handgun. She has years of experience shooting and is able to expertly assist anyone, but lets face it, there are not very many women behind the gun counter, so she is in demand when ladies arrive. But neither Gene nor Shelia could run the business without the help of their valuable employees. Barry, Mark and Jeremy all "bring it" when it comes to expertise in the shop. Barry is always in demand for his knowledge of bows, fishing, archery, hunting, and his law enforcement background. Mark is a "Jack of all Trades" with his law enforcement background, and his knowledge of the AR platform, handgun marksmanship, and self defense. Rounding out the team is Jeremy  Between the two you can always depend on seasoned advice on handguns, the AR platform, fishing and knives. All G&S employees are constantly honing their skills by getting out to the field with the guns, archery equipment, and fishing tackle we sell. In addition, Gene can walk you through how to conduct a hunt in the western United States.  He can outfit you with all your needs for your out west hunt to include onXmaps, long range rifles, scopes, and ammunition. At G&S we work hard to earn your business and ensure we have the right mix of folks on the job to meet your needs.
